
Romain Seil
Prof. Seil, a Luxembourg-native knee surgeon, serves at the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg. His expertise covers sports medicine, knee injuries, and primary and revision knee arthroplasty. He is Co-Director of the Luxembourg Olympic Medical Center and of the IOC-accredited Research Centre ReFORM.
He has authored over 300 publications, co-edited books on knee surgery and sports medicine, and helped establish best practices in ACL reconstruction and meniscal surgery. A co-founder of ESSKA’s Paediatric ACL registry and founding member of its Journal of Experimental Orthopaedics, he also contributes to multiple editorial boards.
Prof. Seil is Past President of ESSKA and GOTS, President of LIROMS, and a member of the IOC Health, Medicine and Science Commission. He is a recognised international leader and award-winning speaker in orthopaedics and sports medicine.
