KSSTA / JEO Awards 2020

The deadline for submissions is now closed. A jury will review and select the award winners by the end of February 2020.

The winners will be notified in advance and must be present during the Milan Congress to accept the award. Information on the timings and location of the ceremony will be sent to all winners.

KSSTA Jón Karlsson Young Researcher Award for Clinical Science

This award is given to an author who has published in KSSTA during the two years prior to the Congress.

Criteria: Open to anyone under 40 who has performed clinical research in arthroscopy, sports medicine or orthopaedic surgery and published in KSSTA as first author between 1.1.2018 & 31.12.2019.

JEO Award for Young Researcher (Clinical & Basic Science Papers)

This is two awards, one for a Clinical Science paper and the other for a Basic Science paper. Each award will be given to an author who has published in JEO during the two years prior to the Congress, is under 40 years at the time of publication and will attend the Congress.

Criteria: Open to anyone under 40 who has published either basic science or clinical science paper in JEO as first author between 1.1.2018 & 31.12.2019.

Award money (for each winner): EUR 1,500 & one full article publication charge waiver

KSSTA Best Paper Award

This award is given for the best paper published in the KSSTA Journal during the two years prior to the Congress. The winner will be selected by the editors of the KSSTA journal.

Award money: 1,000 EUR

JEO Best Paper Award

This award is given to an author who has published in JEO during the two years prior to the Congress. A jury of Editorial Board members will shortlist and select the winner using an independent scoring system.

The Editor-in-Chief will select the winner(s) based on the number and quality of reviews performed, response to invitation and submission efficiency.
