Dr. Stefano Della Villa is a physiatrist at the Educational and Research Department of Isokinetic Medical Group – FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Bologna, Italy. He earned his MD from the University of Bologna in 1985 and specialized in Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation. In 1987, he founded the Isokinetic Medical Group, where he has served as President.

In 1992 Dr. Della Villa founded the Football Medicine Conference, the annual event of the International Football Medicine Community, held in the main European Stadiums, like Wembley and Stamford Bridge in UK, and Camp Nou and Atletico Madrid in Spain. He led the development of Isokinetic’ s expansion across Europe, and he has had leadership roles in the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence group, in the ICRS Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Committee, and in SIAGASCOT.
