The ACL and me - a journey with a twist

His achievements have been recognized across Europe, where he collaborates with leading institutions to promote safer sports practices.


Since 2010, Dr. Patt has focused on preventing knee injuries in children and adolescents.
He is the current president of ESMA/ESSKA and co-leads the “Guardians of the ACL”, a prevention workgroup under the ACL Study Group. He also co-developed ESMA/ESSKA’s “Prevention for All” program with Dr. Henrique Jones / Portugal.


Dr. Patt has contributed to many publications, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and consensus statements, focusing on ACL injury prevention, treatment techniques, and rehabilitation. His research has received recognition for its impact on pediatric sports medicine and orthopaedic practices.
