Mike Carmont
Mike Carmont is a Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon at Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital, Shropshire, UK and also Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Keele. He had a PhD in the Evaluation and Management of Percutaneous and Minimally Invasive repair of Achilles tendon rupture from Gothenburg University and continues to be affiliated with the Orthopaedic Department. His most important role is looking after his daughters, the wife and Milo the dog. He is also a Team Doctor for Northampton Saints RUFC and the Great Britain Team for the Winter University Games.
The professional activity he enjoys the most is helping patients with Achilles tendon rupture and working out the best treatment for each individual patient, their future sports and activity. He is lucky enough to work with fellow Achilles enthusiasts in Gothenburg, Oslo and many others throughout the world. He is always keen to discuss Achilles tendon problems, cases and ideas.
