Ass. Prof. Jakub Kautzner PhD. is an orthopaedic surgeon experienced in Knee ligament reconstruction, Hip reconstructive surgery and shoulder arthroscopy.

He graduated in general medicine on Charles University in Prague, since then he works in Motol University Hospital in Prague under the influence of professors Trc and Havlas. He finished his PhD diploma thesis in 2016 on the topic of ACL reconstruction in women patients. Then he published his profesor thesis (habilitation) on the topic of Arthroscopic FAI treatment options. Currently his research field is in pediatric ACL reconstruction and complex knee injuries in adolescents and research in hip reconstructive surgery and labral pathology. With more than 30 publications and 250 citations.

He is an ESSKA member since 2019, he was a member of ESSKA MCL consensus group. Currently he is a chairman of Czech Society for Sports Traumatology and Arthroscopy (SSTA) and deputy-chief of the Orthopaedic department in Motol Hospital. Currently he is trained faculty member in several teaching programmes and Arthroscopic Academies in Czech Republic and Poland. He is active reviewer for KKSTA journal and editorial board member of AJSM journal.
